Are you interested in teaching science from a Christian perspective? God’s Design Science is a viable choice for parents of homeschooling children who want to raise their children with godly values. God’s hand is found everywhere in nature and nature is a part of science. This program can be utilized from the first grade through the eighth grade. It is a good choice for parents who want continuity in their teaching and don’t want to constantly switch curricula.

You have your choice of four groups of study: Life, Heaven and Earth, Chemistry and Ecology and Physical World. Each group contains three related workbooks on corresponding subjects. You can purchase each group individually or purchase the complete curricula with twelve books, a teaching supplement for each workbook and a CD-ROM for each teaching supplement. The CD-ROM includes printable pages, and tests and quizzes for your students.

If you are beginning your science lessons at grade one, try using the workbooks associated with the groups, Life and Heaven and Earth. They are designed to begin at an earlier age group. The science lessons are told from a Christian point of view. Children are kept engaged with this program because of all of the available resources. Experiments and activities engage the hands as well as the mind. This works well for visual learners. Questions are built in to each lesson to help students to correlate what they are learning to the world that exists around them. The teaching supplement suggests questions or you can make up your own.

Each book is 150 pages long. For older kids you can move a bit faster if you wish. The workbooks are also color-coded for different age groups, making it easier to teach the same subject matter to students of varying ages. Because the books are written to appeal to a wide range of ages, younger children may need a bit of help. The extra supplemental pages on the CD-ROM only enhance your child’s retention of the vast amounts of information you have to impart to them.
